Speed-running 'GitHub Certified: Agentic AI Developer (beta)’ course'
On 27/06/2026 I will speed-run the ‘GitHub Certified: Agentic AI Developer (beta)’. The maximum test time limit is 120 minutes. I can probably do it in 45min.
Check it out here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/agentic-ai-developer/
This is fun for someone who is a cybersecurity nerd who has worked in regulated insurance and financial institutions. It is also fun because, as I document the journey (see below) it demonstrates exactly how to use and misuse this collection of technologies.
Basically this course comes down to the following:
Collect accurate data
Verify and clean data then convert to usable form
Feed data into (correct) algorithm - verify
Do NOT expose private key or API keys publicly
Push/pull credentials contained
Win!
Anyone who has even the slightest idea of how the large language models (‘AI’) work know how they can work - but also how they can break. My two mentors who developed the precursors to this technology (in the 1980s) taught me all of this. They live in me.
So let’s find out who is receiving certifications - and then what the bar is to use them…
